Reciprocating Spray

The Dubois Reciprocator Spray is an affordable, small cabinet-shop solution from the company well known for reliable and durable equipment. It is ideal for finishing material like raised-panel doors, flat panels, and drawer fronts. As an advanced robotized spray-finishing enclosure, the reciprocator can have up to two circuits, each with four spray guns. With each set of 4 guns, it has an adjustable spray width of up to 36". To achieve optimum finish quality, the line speed can be varied up to 20 FPM.

The standard reciprocator mounts eight programmable spray guns on a servo-transversal drive system. Our control system evenly applies finishing material in precise, overlapping waves. The result is tightly-wrapped edges and properly-filled recesses for a high-quality finish.

Because the spray guns are on two independent circuits, an operator can efficiently switch from one set of spray guns to another—and thus to a completely different finish. Moreover, one spray gun circuit can operate, while another is being cleaned and readied for another material.

The Dubois Reciprocator scan system defines the entry-point of each product. By considering both the conveyor and reciprocator speed, the automated system activates the guns on the product for a superior finish.

Intake air is drawn-in through a ceiling-mounted filtering system. This provides an even distribution of air into the cabin. The exhaust system is handled by a centrifugal blower. Recovered finishing material drains through a stainless trough into a collecting bucket. Afterwards, it can be transferred to a drum for possible re-use.

The Dubois Reciprocator is technologically-advanced—in both design and usability. The computer touch screen allows the operator to easily make precise adjustments. Also, the operator can efficiently adjust the reciprocator’s spray width—up to 36”. Soft, indirect lighting from each end of the cabin insures the cabin’s contents are clearly illuminated.

With a small footprint, the Dubois Reciprocator still does a big job. It comes available in multiple voltages and can be tailored to your production needs.
