Dubois Infrared Curing Ovens

Dubois Equipment offers a selection of several types of IR curing ovens custom-designed to meet the needs of your production line. These American-made solutions use innovative technology to boost your productivity and reduce clean-up, maintenance and downtime.

What Is an IR Curing Oven?

Infrared (IR) energy is a heat source commonly used to apply industrial coatings, like powder coating, paint and more. Infrared creates this energy with electromagnetic waves that can cure many products in mere minutes. In fact, IR emitters provide temperatures ranging from 500 to 4,200 degrees Fahrenheit. During this process, a portion of the energy bounces off the surface, the coating absorbs some of the energy and the rest of the energy heats up the substrate.

In an IR curing oven, radiation transfers heat to the coating rapidly and directly. Experts can adjust the intensity of the heat to accommodate different amounts of structure and mass to ensure that the cure is uniform. Unlike traditional convection ovens, IR curing ovens provide direct heat on the source, like shining a flashlight rather than wasting BTUs on heating the surrounding air and elements.

What IR Curing Machines Do We Offer?

Dubois offers a variety of innovative IR curing ovens designed to revolutionize and simplify the way you apply the coating to your equipment. We offer an electric option and a gas option to fit the unique needs of your application.

Electric IR Oven

The Dubois Electric IR Oven is a high-efficiency device built to heat substrate before or after the application of coating or curing. This piece of equipment provides innovative durability for a long life with variable output power, fast heat up and cool down, adjustable halogen bulbs and much more.

Some of the materials that can work with an oven include:

  • Composites.
  • Metal
  • Glass
  • Wood

Gas IR Oven

The Dubois Gas IR Oven is an economical solution designed to heat substrate on long parts like moldings. The part moves on a lateral or side-by-side conveyor belt. This innovative format extends the life of the equipment and makes it easy to handle large parts. There’s also the option to use belting material to remove marks from delicate parts.

Several of the materials that work with this equipment include:

  • Wood
  • Glass
  • Plastic
  • Metal
